Tariq M. Rangoonwala is the Chairman of the Rangoonwala Group of Companies Pakistan engaged in trade facilitation services, bulk terminals, cool chain facilities, warehousing and personal care products manufacturing. In Pakistan he serves on boards of public and private business organizations, committees, forums, trusts, schools, colleges, associations, hospitals and community organizations. Previously he has served on the boards of banks, insurance companies and bilateral forums. He Chairs the ZVMG Rangoonwala Trust in Pakistan, founded by his late father Mr. M. A. Rangoonwala, a public charitable trust specializing in women's vocational training, primary and secondary education, providing donor support for institutions engaged in health, rehabilitation services, capacity building, youth-related activities and higher education. He oversees the V M Art Gallery of the Trust, a non-profit institution for the promotion of visual arts. He is a Trustee of the Rangoonwala Foundation and in this capacity is also a member of the International Council of the Asia Society. He Chairs the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Trust for young people in Pakistan and is a member of the Advisory Council in Pakistan of the British Asia Trust of the Prince of Wales.
He Chairs the Pakistan National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Pakistan) which he reorganized in 1999. In 2005 he arranged for ICC Pakistan’s associate membership of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and in 2015 obtained Pakistan’s accession to the TIR Convention, 1975 which is now under implementation. In 2005 he obtained Pakistan’s accession to the Istanbul Convention on ATA Carnets for temporary admissions and successfully implemented the same in 2007. He has served as an Executive Board member of the ICC in Paris for 6 years and as Regional Coordinator for the ICC Regional Consultative Groups in the SAME/ B-MENA regions for 5 years. In 2010 he was responsible for having proposed and moved the resolution from the region to the ICC World Council for ICC to seek its official elevation to Observer Status at the UN which was granted by a UN General Assembly resolution on 13th December 2016. He is currently a Vice Chairman and Executive Board Member of the Silk Road Chamber of Commerce (SRCIC) in China representing Pakistan. He is a member of the Business Advisory Council of UNESCAP.
He has worked in honorary capacities on reforms with federal and provincial committees in Pakistan. He has been responsible for having obtained business related federal and provincial legislation, multilateral treaty accessions, regulatory ordinances, amendments in legislation, deregulation, updating systems for trade and transport facilitation, arbitration reforms and the mratification and implementation of the UNCITRAL New York Convention 1958, consumer protection laws and reforms in IPR regulations in Pakistan. In terms of his own business developments he has been engaged in privatization and the development of common user logistics support infrastructure working closely with Customs and trade in developing IT based supply chain systems in Pakistan. His primary education was in Pakistan and did his High School at the Institute Montana Zugerberg, Switzerland where after he attended Syracuse University in New York, USA obtaining a BSc. majoring in Finance & Accounts.
Mr. Shahid Iqbal Baloch is a BS-21 officer of Inland Revenue Service, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). He is currently working as Executive Director, State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan, Karachi.
He joined Civil Service of Pakistan in 1992 and his professional career is spanning over 31 years of broad based and progressively responsible experience in general management and administration, finance & taxation, career management, job descriptions, training needs analysis, projects initiation and administrative services. He has a proven ability to work as an administrator and manager in an organizational setup.
